Privacy

The short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and there are no ad trackers on this site. Most of what you do here stays in your own browser.

What stays on your device

The calculators, tools and templates compute in your browser. What you type into them is not sent to us. Your saved work, your Academy and self-study progress, and your settings are kept in your browser's own storage on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them; Save to a file keeps a copy you control.

What we collect, and why

• Visit counts. To see which pages and features help people, we count page views, clicks, button presses and site searches. A visitor is recorded as a scrambled (salted and hashed) version of the internet address, never the address itself. We use no cookies for this and no outside analytics service.
• Things you choose to send us. When you sign up for Question of the day, claim a name in the Quality Clinic, leave feedback, use the contact form, join a waitlist or request a video, we keep what you entered (for example your name, email address and message) so we can do what you asked.
• Questions you ask Q-Bot and your turns in the supplier audit simulation, so the answers can be generated and so we can improve them.
• Practice and self-study results, such as which questions were missed, counted without your name so we can find unclear questions and thin topics.

What we do with it

We use it to run the site, answer you, send the emails you asked for, and make the materials better. We do not sell or rent your information, we do not show ads, and we do not share it with marketers.

Feedback you post publicly appears with your first name only. Your email address is never shown.

Services that help run the site

• An AI service (Anthropic's Claude) writes Q-Bot's answers and the audit simulation's replies. Your question is sent to it for that purpose.
• Google Cloud text-to-speech turns Q-Bot's answers into speech when you play them.
• Our web host and network provider (Bluehost and Cloudflare) carry and store the site and its data, and see internet addresses as any web server does.
• Links to other sites, such as Amazon for the primers and YouTube for our videos, take you to those sites, where their own privacy policies apply.

Email

We only email you if you asked us to, for example Question of the day or a reply to your message. Every Question of the day email has an unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

We keep what you sent us until you ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer needed. Visit counts are kept to understand how the site is used over time, and may be deleted when they are no longer useful.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email anthony@scqualityguild.com and we'll take care of it.

Children

This site is meant for adults preparing for professional certifications. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change what we collect or who helps us handle it, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
