For educational use. This page is a study aid. The method behind it has far more depth and detail than one page and one tool can cover, and what you see here is not everything the method offers or everything this site offers. For full understanding and application, use the governing standards and texts, and seek further education, training or qualified advice. Results depend on the data you enter, so check them before relying on them.

How it works

The 2026 CMQ/OE Body of Knowledge, which applies to exams from July 2026, is split into seven sections and 82 requirements, from leadership and strategic planning to supply chain management and training. The random sample, quick check and full exam follow the real exam’s section mix, and the questions come in a random mix across all the requirements, never grouped by requirement. The bank goes further than one question per requirement: every point named in a requirement's detail, 507 in all (each team type, each management style, each lean tool, each cost of quality category, and so on), is covered by at least one question. Most are short scenarios of the kind a quality manager faces, because the exam tests applying and evaluating, not just recall.

Random sample asks 20 questions with the real exam’s section mix, for a short test when time is tight. Quick check is half the real exam, 83 questions. Full exam is the length of the real exam, 165 questions, with its section mix. Work on my weak spots asks two questions on every requirement that is not Strong yet. Questions you have not seen come first, then ones you missed.

How each requirement is judged

Each requirement gets a status from your last six answers on it, across every attempt saved in this browser. Strong means 80% or better on at least two answers. Borderline is 50 to 79%, and a Gap is under 50%. One answer is not enough to judge either way, so a requirement you have answered only once is marked as needing more answers.

The weighted score counts each section by how many questions it carries on the real exam, from 31 for Quality Management Tools to 16 for Training and Development, so a strong result in a small section cannot hide a weak one in a large section. ASQ reports a scaled score and does not publish a percentage pass mark, so treat the numbers as a guide. A sensible goal before you book: every requirement Strong, and weighted scores of 80% or better on repeat attempts.

Your results and your trend

Every finished attempt is saved in this browser, with no account and nothing sent anywhere. The report shows your score by section and by requirement, what to study next with links to the matching free tools, and every question with its explanation. Your trend shows how your weighted score moves from attempt to attempt.

Common questions

Are these real CMQ/OE exam questions?

No. All 613 questions are original and written against the 2026 Body of Knowledge. They are not actual examination questions, and this site is not affiliated with ASQ.

Can I take a short practice set?

Yes. Besides the full assessment, which follows the real exam's length and section mix, you can take a 20-question random sample when time is short. Every attempt adds to your results.

How are my results reported?

By requirement, not just as one score: you see where you stand on each of the 82 requirements, what to study next, and every question with its explanation. Your trend shows how your weighted score moves from attempt to attempt.
